About Tim

Tim Pazier is a physical therapist with over two decades of experience spanning acute care, in-patient, and outpatient rehab settings.

He established Sound Balance Solutions Physical Therapy in 2021 with a commitment to transform how patients typically experience PT.

Tim follows a unique approach by delivering outpatient clinic services directly to clients’ homes.

This personalized care in familiar surroundings enables Tim to gain helpful insights into his clients’ needs, enabling positive outcomes, and all within the comfort of their own home.

Specializing in vestibular rehabilitation, neurological conditions, chronic disease conditions, balance/walking difficulties, fall prevention, and joint replacement (hip and knee), Tim surpasses traditional therapy standards.

Through careful assessments of clients’ home environments, he identifies potential movement obstacles, championing an “aging in place” philosophy that prioritizes adaptability and safety. His pursuit of excellence is evident in his ongoing quest for knowledge.

He acquired his Certificate of Competency in Vestibular Rehab from Emory University in 2014, thus expanding his expertise in treating vestibular diagnoses in adults. As a selfprofessed “continuing education junkie,” Tim actively engages in courses focused on vestibular, neurological, chronic disease, and geriatric physical therapy.

In 2015, Tim furthered his proficiency by attaining certification as a Certified Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult (CEEAA), mastering evidence-based exercise techniques for older adults with diverse health conditions.

He solidified his expertise in physical therapy by achieving board certification as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist in 2018, distinguishing himself among Washington state’s elite physical therapists.

Beyond his professional commitments, Tim finds joy in family life, sharing outdoor, local and international travel with his wife Shannon, a fellow PT specializing in urinary incontinence for older adults, and their young adult sons, Jude and Zach.

His interests include cycling the roads and gravel of Washington, tai chi (both as a student and instructor), yoga, back country hiking, and getting lost in a good book.
